Fantastic!  Thanks for posting this.  Would it be okay with you if I prep 4 of these to be my go-to for my backup table on the 8th?

I don't think that would be a good idea.  If you read through the Silverhex Chronicles, you see that the award of XP/PP/Gold is based on the number of scenarios completed.  I would hate to have any players feel as though they got cheated out of potential rewards because they were only able to get 4 of the chronicles completed during a normal session.

The S.H. Chronicles are playable only with a pre-gen. Interesting.

That is because they are intended to be used to introduce new people to the game.

Rumor has it that Pre-gens from all the books will be released soon. Oh, is it necessary to own the book a pre-gen comes from? I want to try a couple ACG classes but don't own the book.

I have mixed feelings about that...  On the one hand, it gives people a chance to try various classes and figure out what they want...  on the other hand, it can be kind of overwhelming for people that are not familiar with PFS to know that in addition to the CRB, they also have to buy a copy of APG/ACG/UM/UC in order to play a character that they like....

Yep. I can only afford to buy my books used and it will probably be a while til I get a copy of the ACG. I think we should be allowed to play pre-gens without the book it comes from. What about new players that never played Pathfinder? They don't have any of the books so it gives them a sample character to begin with.

Currently you can play a pregen without the book it comes from (see the Ninja and Gunfighter pregens for examples...)  You just can't make your own character based on them.
