State of the Lodge - June 2018

Pathfinders...
Starfinders...

We have so much going on, that I don't know where to start!

Let's start with the changes in the Venture Officers. Dutch Keough has decided to step down from his position as Venture Agent in Northern Colorado, but we are fortunate that John Martin has decided to step up to help fill his shoes. Also, Paul Lang has decided to step down from being a Venture Agent for the Denver area, but Walt Straight has graciously joined our ranks. Dutch and Paul, we are all thankful for your contributions to the society and hope we will still get to see you around the table as John and Walt take over for you! John and Walt, we are all excited to have you here... welcome to the business of herding cats!

KoboldCon took place last month. We had two VIPs from Paizo attending the convention: Stephen Radney-MacFarland, the senior designer for Pathfinder 2E as well as Owen "KC" Stephens, the lead designer for Starfinder! We had the chance to try playing Pathfinder 2E and to ask questions about the upcoming Starfinder. It was alot of fun! Thank you to everyone that helped to make it happen!

Coming up Saturday, June 16 we will have FreeRPG Day! It promises to be alot of fun, and their are going to be two offerings from Paizo this year! The first continues the adventures of those lovable goblins as you get to play them again. The second offering is a Starfinder adventure in which you get to play a skittermander! And it's all FREE at your local game store! How awesome is that? If you want to know where to go, get in touch with your local Venture Officer and they can help you get set up to have alot of fun in June or you can go to the local game store message boards on rockymountainpfs.com/index.php and see what's being offered at your local game store!

Now, for the phenomenally HUGE news! Have you ever seen how some special events are only allowed to be played at conventions that you never get a chance to go to? Ever want to play a new special that only a select few get a chance to play before everyone else? Well right now, Solstice Scar version C is only available to be played in six very specific locations... PaizoCon, KublaiCon, UK Games Expo, Origins, GenCon and Colorado Springs!

You read that correctly! We have gotten special permission from Paizo to run Version C of the Solstice Scar early for the Gaming Marathon for Charity taking place in Colorado Springs July 14-15! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you can do without having to buy a plane ticket and all of the proceeds go to benefit the Springs Rescue Mission!

We will have door prizes, boons, and a unique charity boon that we will be giving away, not to mention FUN FUN FUN! All in the name of charity! For information on how you can volunteer to GM, we still have a few openings available at http://rockymountainpfs.com/http://test ... ?t=0.  If you want to come and play you can just show up or sign up ahead of time. Details can be found here http://rockymountainpfs.com/http://test ... ic.php?t=2.

Well, that's enough for now (it's still a lot!)

Explore, Report, Cooperate!
