I was reading over the witch last night, since that's the most familiar class to me (no pun intended). I like the changes! Still powerful, but not as OP as it felt in 1E.

Hah! I'm looking over the witch also. I'm gonna create one tonight to use in the next few games.

Technically this is not sanctioned so you cannot use them in society play, until this is clarified somewhere.

I could have sworn I saw you can play them & apply the chronicle to one of your current legal PCs. I'll try to find it.

I guess I'll have to get a table of Fall of Plaguestone going then. Each player can try a playtest class if they want.

There's a post in the VO forums about it. We're all waiting to see if they quick sanction it.

Calling all Pathfinders!

Looking for four players for the Fall of Plaguestone 2e adventure. We will start this Sunday, Nov. 10th 1-5pm, at either The Wizard's Chest (Denver) or Tabletop Tap (Englewood). We can discuss location over emails and we will discuss other days to play during this first session. I am GMing this as part of the 2e Advanced Player's Guide playtest, so, if you're interested in joining, here are the specifics...

We will use the current 2e rules for PFS character creation, starting at level 1.

Allowed ancestries & classes can be from the CRB, Lost Omens Player's Guide (except hobgoblins), and most importantly... The Advanced Player's Guide playtest document.

To sign up, please email me directly (cjdragos@gmail.com) with the following info...

First & last name or last initial,
PFS number,
Ancestry & class of 2 PCs you are considering on playing (bonus if it is an APG class).
Tabletop RPG experience. (optional. If I know you, don't bother. ;) )

I will make my selection of players after I receive some replies. Again, this is limited to only 4 players and beginners are encouraged to apply.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in this thread or email me directly.

Happy Gaming!

Any room left at the APG playtest, Christian? I would be interested.

I'm going to reschedule it. You & Zach are the only two so far.

I was going to allow it for Plaguestone and let whoever tries them play until finished. I will tell them that they only have until Dec 2 to give feedback.

Where are you running it? Home game?

According to the blog posts, it can be run in campaign mode which does allow for the playtest characters. Also, if I were to run it, I might allow players to switch PCs between chapters. Haven't read it yet so I'm unsure if that would work but it would have for some of the APs and multi-chapter scenarios in 1e.

Linda Zayas-Palmer -- Organized Play Lead Developer wrote:Hi! After carefully weighing a variety of factors (such as the burden on GMs still grappling with a new set of rules), the Organized Play team has decided that it's not in the best interest of the campaign to have playtest characters participating in official Pathfinder Society games at this time.

If you're interested in earning Pathfinder Society credit for participating in the playtest, I highly recommend playing Fall of Plaguestone and downloading the free sanctioning document for it on the adventure's product page. You can play a playtest character through the adventure and then apply the credit to a Pathfinder Society character of your choice when you're done.

Yeah! That's what I was trying to do with Fall of Plaguestone! I'm going to Tabletop Tap on Friday. There's a big bulletin board with a huge list of players looking to join D&D or PF RPG games. Gonna contact some of those players and try to get a game going there.

I got to play a Swashbuckler in a new Age of Ashes campaign on Sunday. It's a lot of fun, in theory, but only if you roll well. My very first action was to vault over a bench with flair, rolled a 1! GM said I landed on my face. We were already in initiative, so I wasn't able to roll for a panache circumstance. Failed to Intimidate (Braggart). Weak on damage without it. Then our second battle was a surprise situation. Again, not able to get panache. Short playtime and most of my rolls were under 6! Can't wait to be the heroic daredevil he's intended to be! Epic failure, so far...
