Some Races in, some races out

Post by Hjal Nelson » Wed Jul 16, 2014 4:17 pm

Read all about it here.

TL;DR:  No more Aasimars & Tieflings w/o a race boon starting 14 Aug.  If you want one, start one now.  Additionally, as of 14 Aug Kitsunes, Nagajis, and Wayangs will be PFS legal w/o race boons.

Correct.

To clarify: To play an Aasimar or Tiefling without a race boon they need at least 1xp on a chronicle sheet dated prior to Aug. 14, 2014.

Characters that meet this criteria are grandfathered into being legal for the remainder of their PFS career/lifespan.

Note: Tengu, being the superior race in coolness factor*, remain legal options in Season 6.

*That might just be my opinion.  :D

I think you mean that Aasimars were just too cool to remain a legal option...  it wasn't fair to the other races, really...

I have a character with 1 XP from a GM credit.
He's officially a -6 character, on the website, and his 1 xp is credited prior to the date referred to above (obviously).
Can he *poof* be Aasimar prior to his next registered experience point?
Similarly, if I want him to be Katsune instead starting when season 6 launches, am I similarly able to use the level 1 freedom to rewrite a character in this fashion?

Inter-species breeding involving fox people and catfolk should really be avoided, if at all possible...

Are xp pionts the same as prestige points? And if so does the asimar or tiefling have to be pre-existing? Cause i want to play a tiefling

XP = experience point. You earn one experience point each time you successfully complete a scenario.

Prestige is completely different. You'll note that it is tracked separately on the chronicle sheets you receive from each scenario.

If you want to have a tiefling you merely need to build a new character and play it once before August 14th. At that point you have a PC with 1 XP, and it can safely be a tiefling for the remainder of its playing career.

Unless you can bring a live example (no costumes) to your local game, provided they do not per to mark territory.
