Hail and Well Met Pathfinders!

ATTENTION: With the blizzard forecasted for 13 March 2019 School District 11 has canceled school for the day. Due to the weather and in keeping with the note below, Pathfinder events for 13 March 2019 have been CANCELED. Please be safe and stay home!

UPDATE, 14 Mar: With the continued bad weather, Starfinder Society play for tonight is CANCELLED. Please stay home and stay safe!

March. The days are warming after the chill of winter, fey creatures emerge from their enchanted realms, and for some bizarre reason, bunnies start laying eggs. I know, weird, right?

This month marks a change for our merry band of Pathfinders. In an effort to prepare for the coming of the Pathfinder Second Edition and provide additional support for Starfinder in the local area, we are adding a SECOND NIGHT OF SOCIETY PLAY EACH WEEK! I know this is an abrupt change, but I believe this will eliminate the hard choice of playing Pathfinder; with its dragons, goblins, swords and sorcery, or playing Starfinder, with its LASER wielding dragons, space goblins, energy swords, and digital sorcery. I will schedule at least one game each week and adjust depending on interest and participation. Consider this an experiment. We can be flexible with scheduling so long as it does not overlap the schedule of the other stores in town. Eventually the Venture Officer corps may ask for a new Venture Agent to take over organizing these new events, so if you are curious about this opportunity and the potential bennies, just ask!

I scheduled more Core games so new GMs have an easier time managing the table, more opportunities for both low and high tier play, and I moved all of the Starfinder games to our new night, Thursdays! As always, I tried to fit in as many requests and accommodations as possible, so if you'd like to see a change, let me know.

WE NEED GMS! Society play cannot happen without the dedication of volunteer GMs. The rewards are many as is the appreciation from your fellow players and the Venture Officers. This week we need two GMs to step up and prepare games for the classic 01-34: Encounter at the Drowning Stones and the new 10-14: Debt to the Quah. Both adventures promise to be a good time... but only if there is a GM to run them!

Just as a reminder:
  • Games start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Let's be respectful of our hosts and try to end on time!
  • We follow the D11 weather closure schedule; if D11 is closed on Wednesday, PFS/SFS is canceled for the night. Please be safe and plan accordingly.
  • Please make sure that your real name (or at least whatever you'd like me to call you on the schedule) is listed in your post. If your account is ChunkyLover53 and you don't list your real name, you will be christened...
  • Sign up as soon as possible, you can always cancel if you need to
  • Please do not hot-swap tables!
  • Any sign ups on the day of the game (Wednesday) may not get a slot at the table, but do show up. We will always try to fit you in to a game!
  • GMs: if you need to cancel, let me know ASAP so I can find a replacement!
  • If you want a game scheduled, please ask!

With the changes to the website: I'd like to have everyone click the Attendance button in the upper right and list the game you would like to join in the justification statement when you ask to attend. I think this may reduce duplicate messages and get a better head count for our games!

Explore, Cooperate, and Report!

01-34 Encounter at the Drowning Stones Tier 7-11 GM: Richard
Rumored to be the most desecrated site in the Mwangi Expanse, the natives have long feared its malevolent presence. Rumors of suicide, infanticide, murder, and chaos have always been mentioned in the same breath with these mysterious rock formations. The Society sends you there after the location is discovered by a demonologist working for the Aspis Consortium. The Society fears the Aspis have discovered the source of the Drowning Stones' power and its up to you to insure that they don't get their hands on it.

10-12 Breath of the Dragonskull 1-5 GM: Mark H
What began as a straightforward mission to escort the displaced Farheaven Clan back to their original homeland in Sarkoris is quickly beset with misfortune. The forest where the Farheavens live is burning, and they need urgent aid. But the Farheavens aren't the only ones in danger, and tensions and blame between the locals have almost risen to open violence. Meanwhile, the inferno's source rages unchecked. Can the Pathfinder Society diffuse this volatile situation and restore peace and safety to the region?

10-14 Debt to the Quah 3-7 GM: Mitch
The truth about a bungled Pathfinder expedition into what was supposedly Thassilonian ruin has come to light. Instead of being a forgotten ruin from an ancient civilization, the site was actually an ancient and sacred Shoanti mausoleum. After reading about this finding in the Pathfinder Chronicles, members of one Shoanti quah that has become an ally to the Pathfinder Society has given the Society a chance to explain its actions before a tribal council. If they can secure the council's approval, the PCs will have a chance to set things right at the sacred site. After being left open by the previous expedition, the tomb is filled with both opportunistic bandits and unquiet spirits.

Pathfinder Second Edition Playtest-03 Arclord's Envy Tier 5 (Pregens available) GM: Richard
Among the greatest archmages in Golarion's history is Nex, who created an arcane kingdom that shares his name and survives to this day. Although the archmage disappeared under mysterious circumstances millennia ago, his disciples the Arclords have continued his vision—at least what they can piece together from his surviving writings. The capital of Quantium's now abuzz with the news that another of Nex's texts has resurfaced, and already the owner has died under suspicious circumstances. Hoping to avert a political predicament as various arclords fight to inherit the text, the local authorities have hired the Pathfinder Society to untangle the situation as independent investigators.

You and your fellow veteran Pathfinders are sent, along with Venture-Captain Adril Hestram, to revolution-torn Galt to deliver the famous sword, the Pale Maiden, to the newly re-opened Woodsedge Lodge. All is not as it seems, however, when the lodge is attacked during a ceremony and a famous Pathfinder is murdered. The Lady of the Lodge, Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro, puts you on the mission to solving the murder and catching those responsible.

SFS 01-32 Acts of Association Tier 1-4 GM: O.J.
One of the Society's foremost diplomats is just about to sign a major deal with a visiting alien species. Before the documents can be finalized, the visiting dignitary requests a tour of the station. In order to preserve the Society's negotiations and good standing with this species, the PCs must escort this dignitary across the station and avoid any diplomatic incidents.
