Enchanted Realms PFS/SFS GM Call, May 2018

[shadow=pink,left]Hail and Well Met Pathfinders![/shadow]

"The world's favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible in May." - Edwin Way Teale

With the wheel of the year turning to May, spring is officially in full swing. Get out there and enjoy the warmer weather, dodge a few rain showers, and GET TO GAMING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS! :D This month is the result of a grand experiment where I let you as players and GMs pick most of the events for the month. If you like that format, I will continue it for next month. There are a lot of to be determined, (TBD) games listed below. When I have access to my database of ADVENTURE, I will fill in the blanks. In the meanwhile, volunteer for what you'd like and I will do my best to accommodate.

There were many requests this month, so please check to be sure I got them all! If you would like to see something added, reply!

ATTENTION GMs
If you are running an event that has been run previously and you are looking for the maps for the game, ask! I have run many games and created custom maps from the scenarios, and between OJ and I we must have over 100 flip maps and map packs. Just ask if you need to borrow anything, we may have it!

Just as a reminder:
  • We follow D11 closure and early release schedules for bad weather. Stay safe during icy conditions!
  • Games start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Let's be respectful of our hosts and try to end on time!
  • Please make sure that your real name (or at least whatever you'd like me to call you on the schedule) is listed in your post
  • Sign up as soon as possible, you can always cancel if you need to
  • Please do not hot-swap tables!
  • Any sign ups on the day of the game (Wednesday) may not get a slot at the table, but do show up. We will always try to fit you in to a game!
  • GMs: if you need to cancel, let me know ASAP so I can find a replacement!
  • If you want a game scheduled, please ask!
Explore, Cooperate, and Report!

[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-01 The Commencement Tier 1-2 GM: Randy
All Starfinders complete their training by conferring with Guidance-a network of uploaded personalities embodying paragons from the Starfinder Society's history. Before receiving the blessing of Guidance, the PCs must meet with and assist critical missions on behalf of key leaders of the Society's leading factions. With the events of the Scoured Stars Incident still fresh in everyone's memory, there's plenty that needs doing to set the Society back on track.
The Commencement is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to the factions of the Starfinder Society and areas of importance on Absalom Station.
Player 1: Jim K

[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-04 Cries From the Drift Tier 1-4 GM: Richard
A missing Starfinder ship's distress signal would have gone unnoticed were it not for a passerby detecting it and selling the information to the Society. The PCs are to travel to the crippled starship, and once aboard, reach the bridge in order to piece together the tragic story of the vessel's lost crew. Only by unraveling the mysteries of the drifting starship can the PCs hope to uncover information critical to the Exo-Guardians future operations.
Content in Cries From the Drift also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Exo-Guardians faction.
Player 1: James

[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-08 Sanctuary of Drowned Delight Tier 3-6 GM: Mitchel
In order to retrieve valuable resources necessary to repair the Wayfinders' flagship, the PCs follow-up on another team's investigative mission to a long-abandoned Starfinder Society lodge on a world in the Vast. Finding the lodge submerged and already partially flooded, the PCs quickly realize they are far from alone in the depths of the distant world's ocean.
Content in Sanctuary of Drowned Delight also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Wayfinders faction.
Player 1: Jim H
Player 2: O.J.

06-01 Trial by Machine Tier 1-5 GM: Jesse
More than a millennium has passed since the "machine mage" Karamoss's failed siege of Absalom, and for years the Pathfinder Society has used upper reaches of his subterranean siege tower as a training ground for initiates. During a routine drill, the once-dormant dungeon springs to life, and it will take all the PCs' resourcefulness and skill to make it out alive.
Standby: Jim K

9 May 2018
[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-12 Ashes of Discovery Tier 1-4 GM: O.J.
When a major Pact Worlds organization approaches the Starfinder Society about investigating an abandoned outpost in Near Space, the PCs get assigned to the case. Travelling to a distant world, surmounting dangerous threats in the void of space, and meeting new alien cultures-this mission is about everything the Starfinder Society embodies.
Ashes of Discovery is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to what it's like to be a member of the Starfinder Society. With randomized mechanical and story elements, when you play this scenario, you'll never play the same scenario twice.
Player 1: Brian

Module Gallows of Madness 3: The Festering Blot Tier 1-3 GM: Bill
Something wicked-and monstrous-stirs around the rugged Isgeri town of Saringallow, where the hated legacy of noble Chelish diabolists runs deep. With the recent disappearance of several apprentices, the nearby menace of particularly grotesque goblins, and the unsettling rumors about the old Sarini Estate, Mayor Sandra Trinelli knows that she needs help, and she needs it fast! The heroes must confront one of these crises, or all three, if they hope to stem the tide of darkness that looms. Before too long, the heroes discover that villains with ties to the Abyss have set their sights on Saringallow, and won't rest until the settlement and all its innocent inhabitants fall victim to their madness-inducing predations!
Player 1: Hillary
Player 2: Jim K

07-04 The Ironbound Schism Tier 7-11 GM: Richard
The cataclysmic Earthfall shattered the ancient Thassilonian civilization, and like its slumbering runelords who fled the destruction, many ruins lie hidden. The Ironbound Archipelago was once part of Edasseril, kingdom of envy, and word has reached the Pathfinder Society that an ancient ruin has emerged on the isle of Flintyreach. Can the PCs gain the local half-orcs' trust and brave the resident giants' wrath to secure this archaeological treasure?
Player 1: James
Player 2: Jesse

07-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge Tier 3-7 GM: Randy
Six years ago, the Pathfinder Society narrowly avoided disaster at an archaeological excavation in the Terwa Uplands. The expedition recovered and resumed its work, and at long last they have learned what the ancient culture had hoped to guard. That's when all correspondence ended. Fearing the excavation may be besieged once more, the Society has sent the PCs to save who they can, salvage what they must, and uncover a secret that has laid buried outside Bloodcove for millennia.

16 May 2018
[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-07 The Solar Sortie Tier 1-4 GM: Brian
When Historia-7, the leader of the Dataphiles faction, uncovers the first hints of a conspiracy operating against the Starfinder Society, the PCs must assist her in uncovering the truth. Sent to a corporate space station orbiting the Pact Worlds' sun, the PCs must earn favor with the hedonist son of a corporate CEO to gain access to the confidential files Historia-7 needs. However, the PCs are stuck in the middle when this corrupt dilettante's proclivities and shady associations emerge to thwart the Starfinders' covert infiltration.
Content in The Solar Sortie also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Dataphiles faction.

Module The Emerald Spire Superdungeon Level 6: The Clockwork Maze Tier 4-6 GM: Bill
For ages untold, a gemstone monolith has pierced the heart of the Echo Wood. Now, as civilization intrudes upon this enigmatic splinter, a strange life once again stirs in the depths-one with ties to undying evils and a might beyond time itself. The promise of wealth and power calls to glory-seekers from across the Inner Sea region, tempting them into a labyrinth of monster-haunted vaults, defiled tombs, arcane laboratories, and worse, as they seek to unveil the secrets locked below the legendary Emerald Spire.
Players Set

09-17 Oath of the Overwatched Tier 5-9 GM: Hillary
Deep beneath the Blakros Museum lies a copper gate that no key could open-at least, not from the outside. To the horror of museum curator Nigel Aldain, the gate has begun to writhe and buckle. Whatever lurks beyond it will not remain contained for much longer. Aldain sent an urgent request for aid to Zarta Dralneen, leader of the Dark Archive faction. Dralneen quickly realized that protection would require a divided approach, with some remaining behind to guard Absalom from what pours out and others charging in to deal with the source. With the support of Aldain, Dralneen, and Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin on guard behind them, the PCs rush beyond the twisted portal. Within, they uncover the true reason why the ancient mage Ralzeros made the place beyond the gate so hard to reach.
Contents in Oath of the Overwatched also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Dark Archive faction.
Player 1: James
Player 2: Richard

09-18 Scourge of the Farheavens Tier 1-5 GM: O.J.
When the Worldwound opened, tearing apart Sarkoris with a flood of demons, thousands of Sarkorian refugees sought shelter in nearby lands. Those who found no solace with their neighbors traveled far to the east, into the wilds of Iobaria. Among these was the Farheaven clan, which settled in the forests and faded into obscurity over the past century. Now that the Mendevian Crusades have fought back the demons and reclaimed a large amount of territory, the Pathfinder Society's begun the difficult task of studying the Sarkorian ruins to piece back together their shattered traditions and recover lost heirlooms.
Unfortunately, the Farheaven clan's old stronghold holds secret that archaeology struggles to decipher. To understand this culture, the PCs travel to Iobaria in search of the Farheavens and the oral histories they've passed down for generations. What they find, though, are a devastated people, an abandoned village, and a murderous god. Can the PCs save this clan and preserve its history?

23 May 2018
[glow=blue,2,300]Starfinder[/glow] 01-10 The Half-Alive Streets Tier 1-4 GM: Jim H
The PCs take part in an investigation after an Absalom Station pawnbroker tries to sell the Starfinder Society a lethal biotech augmentation. The search leads into the depths of the station's Freemarkets and into another investigation initiated by AbadarCorp. With rumors abound of mysterious disappearances near the Freemarkets and that those people using the augmentations are suffering from a mysterious illness, it falls to the PCs to piece together what's going on. Where is this never-before-seen biotech coming from, and what happens when the augmented dead don't stay dead?
Player 1: O.J.
Player 2: Brian

05-20 The Sealed Gate Tier 7-11 GM: Randy
Following its efforts to set up a base camp in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, the Pathfinder Society seemed ready to mobilize its forces when Marcos Farabellus received troubling news: something dire had befallen the camp. What's worse, these events resulted in the disappearance of one of the Society's most valuable tools as well as two of its esteemed leaders. The PCs must investigate the ruined camp, track down the perpetrators, and recover a powerful relic to prevent this tragedy from ruining the entire expedition.
Player 1: Hillary
Player 2: Jesse
Player 3: Deana

08-05 Ungrounded but Unbroken Tier 1-5 GM: Jim K
The Peerless Empire of shaitan genies has warred with their fiery counterparts for centuries, and thinly stretched resources leave the shaitans in need of additional aid. They have founded a new state-sanctioned mercenary company known as the Ungrounded, which draws upon free agents from across the multiverse. One of the Society's few friends on the Plane of Earth has recommended at least a handful of Pathfinders join the Ungrounded, knowing that even a few months' service could dramatically enhance the Society's reputation (and fill those agents' pockets) in this distant realm. The PCs travel to the magnificent Opaline Vault as the Society's first envoys, but in doing so they must survive the otherworldly threats that lurk in both this strange environment and within their own ranks.

09-13 The Lion's Justice Tier 7-11 GM: James
Devious schemes are afoot in Oppara, the glittering capital of Taldor. As the city delights in a public holiday, Lady Gloriana Morilla and her allies have learned of an impending plot that could throw the whole nation into chaos. The PCs are uniquely poised to collaborate with Taldor's secretive Lion Blade spies to intercept the culprits in what promises to be a defining moment in Taldan history.
Contents in The Lion's Justice also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Sovereign Court faction. This is the last of several scenarios that also set the stage for and directly tie into the upcoming War for the Crown Adventure Path, and events in this scenario overlap with several scenes in the first volume, Crownfall."

30 May 2018
[glow=navy,2,300]Pathfinder Adventure Path #37: Souls for Smuggler's Shiv (Serpent's Skull 1 of 6) Tier 2-4 GM: Bill[/glow]
Only the Strong Survive
A deadly storm shipwrecks the passengers and crew of the Jenivere upon infamous Smuggler's Shiv, an island off the coast of the jungle realm of Sargava. If they're to have any hope of escaping the notorious pirates' graveyard, the survivors will need to band together to outwit the isle's strange beasts and legendary menaces. But can the PCs unite the swift-to-squabble castaways, especially when several seem to have mysterious goals of their own? And does Smuggler's Shiv hide secrets even deadlier than its desperate denizens?

01-53 Echoes of the Everwar - Part IV: The Faithless Dead Tier 7-11 GM: Austin
The famous concubines of Sothis, recently returned to Osirion by the Pathfinder Society, are stolen from the Pathfinder Lodge in that nation's capital and it's up to you to find them and return them before their combined power can be used to awaken an ancient evil.

00-03 Murder on the Silken Caravan Tier 1-5 GM: ?
Volunteers are needed to escort the body of a deceased venture-captain across the parched Qadiran desert to Katheer. The Silken Caravan offers passage, hauling exotic treasures across the perilous sea of sands. You'll brave bandits, spies, and unwelcome mourners hell-bent on paying respects to your dead companion. Worse still, the caravan's mistress, a satin-swathed Qadiran princess, has designs of her own on you and your cargo.

09-19 Clash in Kaimuko Wood Tier 5-9 GM: James
On a recent foray into Kwanlai, the Pathfinder Society learned that a conniving being from the Abyss has been targeting righteous communities on the border between the tengu nation and Tianjing to the south. In light of these discoveries, Venture-Captain Amara Li has asked the PCs to lead a company of tengu soldiers to a fort near the northern border of Tianjing to lend aid and provide information. When the PCs arrive at the fort, it quickly becomes apparent that all is not well. As blight and corruption creep out from Kaimuko Wood toward the fort, it falls to the PCs to rally their allies and lead the charge.
Contents in Clash in Kaimuko Wood also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Silver Crusade faction.

Randy, If we could get SFS 1-08 on 2 May, put SFS 1-09 on the 9th (and let O.j get in on that).

Now for Core Bonekeep, I will talk with Mark and see if he is willing to run that Module for us. We really need to stop GMing for our own group. We need outside GM's. If O.j. is good and needs to get GM sessions for the GM boon, Core Bonekeep is ALWAYS HAPPY TO have him run for us :).

I think that scheduling 3 tables of Starfinder during the first week is overestimating the attendance we will have for those tables.

Also, I believe that we are doing ALOT of modules... so many that they are eclipsing many of the scenarios that are taking place during the season. Perhaps cutting back on the modules and focusing on newer scenarios might be a good idea.

Yeah, I don't see us having 3 tables worth of Starfinder players just yet. Although, a 1-4 and a 3-6 would be fun. And I think completely doable.

I'd be happy to run 1-08 on the 2nd.

I'm guessing these games are up in the air? If so I'd like to run Storming the Diamond Gate on the 16th. I'd like to jump on to play The Gallows of Madness part 3 on the 9th, and The Sealed Gate on the 23rd. Thanks ~ Hillary

Randy, we could trade out SFS 1-09 for SFS 1-06. Seeing is how 1-09 has gone off 2x now and hoping people will have a level 3 to play after the 2nd. If not then I can run 1-09.

Then I want to play SFS 1-08 on the 2nd.

On the 16th I can run 7-05 School of Spirits

Play 5-20 on the 23rd.
