Greetings, Pathfinders!

Here is the schedule for November. If you sign up to play The Gauntlet, definitely bring your 'A-Game'. Also, please state which PC you plan on bringing. This will help the GM & other players to prepare for the game. Games are $2 to play which goes to your GM as a 'Thank You' for their time and resources spent prepping. Please leave a real name when signing up.

PFS Special: The Gauntlet (levels 7-9 only.)
While the lives of most Pathfinder Society field agents is brutal and short, some rise to prominence, drawing the attention of the Decemvirate. These lucky agents are invited to a little known siege castle outside of Absalom where they are asked to test their mettle. Those who succeed get their choice of prestigious missions, whereas those who fail are rarely heard from again.
GM Tim McKinney
1. Christian D. (Aasimar Cleric 9th)
2. Marie (Cleric 9th)
3. Jimmy H. (Sorcerer & rhino 8th)
4. Dan G. (Druid & treant 9th)
5. William T. (Zen Archer 8th)
6. Rafael (7th pregen)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a heads up. The Gauntlet is a very difficult scenario. There is no four player adjustment so I hope we get a full table as the chances of success with less are not great.

Do you mean Sunday's games? If so, got you added already. What PC are you playing on the 18th?

Uh-oh. Hopefully, if we get only 4 players, we can all have 9th level characters. I think i have a couple.

I hear a dogwhistle -
Something about 'scenario', 'difficult', and 'very' - holy sh*t!, could this reward us above and beyond the measely gold pieces we usually put our lives on the line for?? I mean I enjoy fighting those who don't embrace our diversity/inclusion/acceptence of gold pieces and I too want to 'kill them all' as any good Pathfinder member would. But as a (semi-)secret organization could we please maybe earn something special for be'ing a band of 'murder hobos' ? The call is ...

Please sign Jimmy up for Sunday, Nov. 4th 1-5pm #6-09 By Way of Bloodcove (tier 3-7), and Sunday, Nov. 18th 10am-4pm The Gauntlet (levels 7-9).

Whippersnapper,
Jhat

Dan & Jimmy,

Do you guys know which PC you'll be bringing through The Gauntlet? I would like to play my Nagaji Ranger, but, I have several other PCs in the 7-9 level range. Post what you have available. We need to put together a well-rounded party before we sit down at the table and taking up a half hour before the game.

I would like everyone to pick a character beforehand. I want to give out background info in advance. . Also there is an in game mechanic I'd like to take care of pregame via email.

A well rounded party is important so choose wisely. Also have your character as prepared as can be regarding consumables.

I am going to go with Rakesh, my 8th lvl Nagaji Ranger (skirmisher archetype). Str & Dex build so he's a "switch-hitter"; Two-weapon fighting primary & archery secondary. He also has the "Student of Swords" GM Star Reward sheet. Many of the boons on this sheet, as well as my other chronicle boons, might be very useful in The Gauntlet.

Tim - thanks for the warning on The Gauntlet. I would love to play it, however, my only toon is level 6.1 right now, and I may not reach 7 in time. From what you said, even lvl 7 may not be safe unless a full party. It certainly sounds like a pregen is a bad idea. Therefore, I will hold off confirming for that game until I qualify.

Please sign me up for the 11/4 By Way of Blood Cove game, bringing Magus 6.

Jimmy - Are you saying you want a chronicle sheet that ONLY has boons on it? >:D

BTW (to keep this thread clean, please PM me with an answer): if I ever play a pregen in a scenario where that pregen dies, what negative consequences happen to the character to whom I applied that scenario? Or do I just not apply that scenario at all? Or is it just "no rewards" and I've burned the chance to play that scenario again (without a GM perk behind it)?

I'll go ahead and post the answer to your question here since it will be useful for everyone.

First of all, it is frowned upon to play a pregen in a special like The Gauntlet or Bonekeep. I will not allow it. It's kinda complicated for me to explain in typing, but someone else might be able to explain. Basically, it's the "I don't care -it's just a pregen" mentality.

Second, if you do play a pregen, you sign in using any of your existing PCs you plan to apply the chronicle to. If your pregen dies during the adventure and you cannot pay for raise dead, body recovery, etc... then the PC you signed in with is marked as 'DEAD' on the chronicle. If it survives, the chronicle is applied to the PC when it reaches the tier you played the scenario.

I hope that helps!

For the Gauntlet I can play:

7th, scout/merchant, Faty
8th, unSummoner, SKC
8th, lucky Desna cleric, Xir and Mir
8th, Sarenrae for the burn, Noob Noob
9th, animal companion with gnome, GG and Ani

I'm leaning towards SKC, Noob Noob, or GG and Ani. But it depends on what others bring.

Doug had to drop out of the Nov. 4th's By Way of Bloodcove game. Hopefully we can get another person or three to jump in.
