Hail and Well Met Pathfinders!

March. The days are warming after the chill of winter, fey creatures emerge from their enchanted realms, and for some bizarre reason, bunnies start laying eggs. I know, weird, right?

This month marks a change for our merry band of Pathfinders. In an effort to prepare for the coming of the Pathfinder Second Edition and provide additional support for Starfinder in the local area, we are adding a SECOND NIGHT OF SOCIETY PLAY EACH WEEK! I know this is an abrupt change, but I believe this will eliminate the hard choice of playing Pathfinder; with its dragons, goblins, swords and sorcery, or playing Starfinder, with its LASER wielding dragons, space goblins, energy swords, and digital sorcery. I will schedule at least one game each week and adjust depending on interest and participation. Consider this an experiment. We can be flexible with scheduling so long as it does not overlap the schedule of the other stores in town. Eventually the Venture Officer corps may ask for a new Venture Agent to take over organizing these new events, so if you are curious about this opportunity and the potential bennies, just ask!

I scheduled more Core games so new GMs have an easier time managing the table, more opportunities for both low and high tier play, and I moved all of the Starfinder games to our new night, Thursdays! As always, I tried to fit in as many requests and accommodations as possible, so if you'd like to see a change, let me know.

Just as a reminder:
  • Games start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Let's be respectful of our hosts and try to end on time!
  • We follow the D11 weather closure schedule; if D11 is closed on Wednesday, PFS/SFS is canceled for the night. Please be safe and plan accordingly.
  • Please make sure that your real name (or at least whatever you'd like me to call you on the schedule) is listed in your post. If your account is ChunkyLover53 and you don't list your real name, you will be christened...
  • Sign up as soon as possible, you can always cancel if you need to
  • Please do not hot-swap tables!
  • Any sign ups on the day of the game (Wednesday) may not get a slot at the table, but do show up. We will always try to fit you in to a game!
  • GMs: if you need to cancel, let me know ASAP so I can find a replacement!
  • If you want a game scheduled, please ask!
With the changes to the website: I'd like to have everyone click the Attendance button in the upper right and list the game you would like to join in the justification statement when you ask to attend. I think this may reduce duplicate messages and get a better head count for our games!

Explore, Cooperate, and Report!
6 March 2019
06-20 Returned to the Sky Tier 7-11 GM: Richard
Part of a Numerian relic once thought scattered to the winds has found its way back to the savage land of super-science, and the Pathfinder Society must track down the component if they are to unlock the device’s secrets. Clues point to the economic hub Chesed, where only the descendants of a shattered clan can share where their revered ancestor buried the strange artifact. Can the PCs brave the troubled city, evade the vigilant agents of the Technic League, and survive a trip into the Numerian wastes?

10-10 The Shattered Shield Tier 1-5 GM: Jason
When news arrives that one of the shards of the holy relic known as the Shattered Shield of Arnisant have been put up for sale in a Rahadoumi auction, the Pathfinder Society is highly skeptical, particularly since all the shards of the shield are safely accounted for, enshrined in the nation of Lastwall's capital city, Vigil. However, the Society's sources have confirmed that the seller does indeed seem to have a powerful magical relic identical to one of the shards, so the Pathfinders have sent a team to investigate. What secrets might be uncovered in this nation where religion is banned? And who besides the Pathfinder Society and their allies in Lastwall might be seeking the purported relic? Contents in "The Shattered Shield" also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Dark Archive faction.
Player 1: O.J.

10-11 The Hao Jin Hierophant Tier 5-9 GM: James
Seven years ago, the Pathfinder Society acquired the Hao Jin Tapestry, a powerful artifact and gateway to a wondrous yet slowly disintegrating museum-like demiplane. Despite the sacrifices made to preserve the Hao-Jin Tapestry by one of the Pathfinder Society's most influential members, the realm's collapse seems inevitable. The Society has dispatched teams to high-value sites to salvage what they can of the historical treasures and knowledge, and the PCs are one of these first groups. However, their study of an ancient Tian site becomes far more complex thanks to not one but two burgeoning religions. It's up to the PCs to navigate this landscape riddled with hazards both extraplanar and political.

Module The Emerald Spire Superdungeon Level 10: The Magma Vault (Slow) Tier 8-10 GM: Bill
For ages untold, a gemstone monolith has pierced the heart of the Echo Wood. Now, as civilization intrudes upon this enigmatic splinter, a strange life once again stirs in the depths—one with ties to undying evils and a might beyond time itself. The promise of wealth and power calls to glory-seekers from across the Inner Sea region, tempting them into a labyrinth of monster-haunted vaults, defiled tombs, arcane laboratories, and worse, as they seek to unveil the secrets locked below the legendary Emerald Spire.

A frigid curse followed Skelg from his northern homeland and grips his bearish heart in its frosty embrace. As the bizarre freezing ailment pushes Skelg to the brink of death, the Society dispatches you and your fellow Pathfinders to uncover the secrets of the freezing curse before Absalom falls to its icy grip.

01-34 Encounter at the Drowning Stones Tier 7-11 GM: ?
Rumored to be the most desecrated site in the Mwangi Expanse, the natives have long feared its malevolent presence. Rumors of suicide, infanticide, murder, and chaos have always been mentioned in the same breath with these mysterious rock formations. The Society sends you there after the location is discovered by a demonologist working for the Aspis Consortium. The Society fears the Aspis have discovered the source of the Drowning Stones' power and its up to you to insure that they don't get their hands on it.

10-12 Breath of the Dragonskull 1-5 GM: Mark H
What began as a straightforward mission to escort the displaced Farheaven Clan back to their original homeland in Sarkoris is quickly beset with misfortune. The forest where the Farheavens live is burning, and they need urgent aid. But the Farheavens aren't the only ones in danger, and tensions and blame between the locals have almost risen to open violence. Meanwhile, the inferno's source rages unchecked. Can the Pathfinder Society diffuse this volatile situation and restore peace and safety to the region?

10-14 Debt to the Quah 3-7 GM: ?
The truth about a bungled Pathfinder expedition into what was supposedly Thassilonian ruin has come to light. Instead of being a forgotten ruin from an ancient civilization, the site was actually an ancient and sacred Shoanti mausoleum. After reading about this finding in the Pathfinder Chronicles, members of one Shoanti quah that has become an ally to the Pathfinder Society has given the Society a chance to explain its actions before a tribal council. If they can secure the council's approval, the PCs will have a chance to set things right at the sacred site. After being left open by the previous expedition, the tomb is filled with both opportunistic bandits and unquiet spirits.
Player 1: Hillary

PF2-03 Arclord's Envy 5 GM: Richard
Among the greatest archmages in Golarion's history is Nex, who created an arcane kingdom that shares his name and survives to this day. Although the archmage disappeared under mysterious circumstances millennia ago, his disciples the Arclords have continued his vision—at least what they can piece together from his surviving writings. The capital of Quantium's now abuzz with the news that another of Nex's texts has resurfaced, and already the owner has died under suspicious circumstances. Hoping to avert a political predicament as various arclords fight to inherit the text, the local authorities have hired the Pathfinder Society to untangle the situation as independent investigators.

01-46 Eyes of the Ten - Part I: Requiem for the Red Raven 12 GM: Randy
You and your fellow veteran Pathfinders are sent, along with Venture-Captain Adril Hestram, to revolution-torn Galt to deliver the famous sword, the Pale Maiden, to the newly re-opened Woodsedge Lodge. All is not as it seems, however, when the lodge is attacked during a ceremony and a famous Pathfinder is murdered. The Lady of the Lodge, Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro, puts you on the mission to solving the murder and catching those responsible.

20 March 2019
00-27 Our Lady of Silver Tier 5-9 GM: Hillary
You and your fellow Pathfinders are sent to Katheer, the shining capital of Qadira, to witness the wedding of Pathfinder Faireven to the wealthy and beautiful Lady of Silver and bring back a trove of relics given to the Society as part of the wedding dowry. When the wedding is disrupted by unscrupulous thieves, you soon find yourself dodging double-crosses, accusations of grave robbery, and worse. You must find the relics soon, or risk facing the eternal expulsion of the Society from the treasure-filled deserts of Qadira.

04-21 Way of the Kirin Tier 3-7 GM: James
On the eastern continent of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society remains a small player in the greater political landscape, but Amara Li, head of the Lantern Lodge in the teeming city of Goka, has plans to change that. In order to secure the Pathfinder Society's place as an influential organization on the far side of the world from the Grand Lodge in Absalom, she must orchestrate an alliance with the mysterious Way of the Kirin. But the longtime rival of the Pathfinder Society, the Aspis Consortium, has plans to form an alliance of its own, and if the consortium succeeds, the Pathfinder Society's hopes of cementing their place in the Dragon Empires could be dashed forever.

Module The Dragon's Demand Part 1: The Blood Vow Lair Tier 1-7 GM: Mark H.
Founded by a famous dragonslayer, the small town of Belhaim has become a sleepy rural community just off the beaten path, a settlement where everyone knows everyone and strangers are the talk of the town. But when Belhaim’s peace and quiet is shattered by the sudden collapse of the last standing tower of its founder’s castle, things quickly bloom out of control. Why were there bodies of kobolds amid the rubble? What’s the sinister secret behind the strange sounds of flapping wings in the night? And what’s happened to local wizard Balthus Hunclay, who’s not answering knocks on his door? The collapsed tower had long been an eyesore to the cantankerous old man—could he have had something to do with its destruction? And what of the rumors of strange stirrings in nearby Dragonfen? Has Belhaim’s ancient draconic nemesis returned?

Module The House on Hook Street: Return to the House on Hook Street Tier 6-8 GM: Bill
In Old Korvosa, nightmare-spawned horrors begin stalking the district's shiver addicts, sparking a manhunt to bring those responsible to justice. What role does the strange cult known as the Brotherhood of the Spider play in the mysterious deaths, and why is the veil between the dreaming and waking worlds so thin? To solve these mysteries and others, the heroes must walk the unseen paths of Bridgefront's occult underworld, and even enter the Dimension of Dreams itself to unravel the web of intrigue concealing the cult's deadly machinations. But what will happen when the heroes' own dreams turn against them, and what becomes of those who uncover esoteric secrets too terrible to know? Beset by dangers from their own minds, the heroes must race against time to save Korvosa—and their sanity.

02-11 The Penumbral Accords Tier 1-5 CORE GM: O.J. (I have printed maps to share!)
The daughters of Absalom's mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family's matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society's ties to the powerful Blakroses.

27 March 2019
06-11 The Slave Master's Mirror Tier 3-7 GM: ?
An elusive enemy of the Society has launched a campaign of espionage and intrigue from Stonespine Island, the homeport of the infamous Okeno pirates. The Society must sneak a team of agents through one of the largest slave markets on the Inner Sea and track the slippery mastermind to her base if they are to successfully capture the villain, and Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin has just the team of Pathfinders in mind for the task. Can the PCs defeat this remote slave ring without becoming slaves themselves?
Player 1: Mark H.

Even the limitless Plane of Air is at risk of eldritch instability, and a cult dedicated to the planes’ integrity has sensed an imminent calamity brewing deep within a primal storm. Player 1: Mark H.

10-15 Tapestry’s Trial Tier 7-11 GM: ?
Remembered as the Ruby Phoenix, the legendary sorcerer Hao Jin disappeared without a trace centuries ago never to be seen since. The Pathfinder Society has spent much of the past decade exploring her vast museum demiplane, yet in recent years the demiplane's very existence has begun to unravel, threatening to cast its contents into the void. The Society's leaders believe that only Hao Jin herself might be able to repair her creation, and a new lead at last reveals where she had gone: the realm of perfect law, Axis. As elite agents, the PCs must track her down and convince her to save the tapestry demiplane and all of the creatures that live there.

I'd like to sign up to GM the following:

3/6/19:
00-04 The Frozen Fingers of Midnight Tier 1-5 CORE

3/13/19:
10-12 Breath of the Dragonskull 1-5

3/20/19:
Module The Dragon's Demand Part 1: The Blood Vow Lair Tier 1-7

If you can fit 8-03 Captives of Toil back in the schedule, I'd do that instead. That was the one that didn't go off in February due to lack of players. We can also do it in April if that is easier.

I'd like to sign up to play 06-11 The Slave Master's Mirror Tier 3-7 on 3/27, but not 100% sure I'll be there for it.

Thanks,
Mark H.
