Greetings, adventurers!!!

Edit as of 5/23: This adventure will be run as a Play by Post game on the Paizo boards. Ignore the references to in-person sessions!

I just received my copy of Crown of the Kobold King (CotKK) and will be putting out a recruitment thread for a PFS2e Sanctioned game within a month or two. This post has a bit of info for those interested in joining. I will choose 5 players depending on their PC submitted to ensure a well-balanced party.
Applying PFS Credit► Show Spoiler
PCs begin at 1st level and will be 6th level at the end.
This adventure will take many sessions to complete. I'm guessing about 20 sessions, which means about a year. So please only sign up if you believe you can make it to almost every session. The adventure is for 4 PCs, but I'm allowing 5 for when a player or two can't make it to a session. Real life stuff happens, so missing a session here & there is okay. There will be some days we'll have off for holidays, bad weather, zombie apocalypse, etc...
This will be played on our usual 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month, 1-5pm.

For those thinking of joining, here are some PC creation guidelines for you to think about:

To make it simple, PCs begin at 1st level using Standard CRB PC creation rules and common (or uncommon if related to your PC) availability.
Only CRB ancestries are allowed, except goblins, and only the Core Rulebook and Advanced Player's Guide material is allowed.
No evil PCs, period!

I might consider material from one other book of your choosing for your PC, but it might be difficult to convince me. For example, I would probably allow a catfolk swashbuckler on the run from the Shackles pirates she swindled and now she is laying low in town, but probably won't allow an automaton inventor hermit living in the tavern cellar. I prefer classic, old-school Sword & Sorcery adventure, so please keep that in mind.

It's best if all PCs are residents of the town of Falcon's Hollow, or are newcomers that have resided there for at least a few months.
Whether or not the PCs begin the adventure already knowing each other is up to the individual players, but having a shared stake in defending your hometown helps to give the events of this adventure a more immediate urgency.

Before I post an official recruitment thread,
I'm sure you have questions, so go ahead and ask!

Would you be looking for fully fleshed out level 1 characters in the recruitment post? Or ideas and then a session 0 once people have been chosen?

You should have a somewhat fleshed out PC or two. Something like:
"Branwyyn the Brave, female Half-elf Paladin of Iomedae that is an acolyte of the local temple." Is enough for me to decide.
And maybe a few other details if it's something I need to know.

You are welcome to be as detailed as you want in the beginning, or develop your PC during the campaign.

Ideally, It will be like a Play by Post recruitment; Ask any questions here, then have a PC somewhat ready to go when I post the recruitment thread.

To quote GM Watery Soup:
"4. I dislike recruiting first come first served, especially the "land rush" mentality, where people feel the need to immediately post to claim a spot, because if they wait, the game will be full in 45 minutes. For my games, I have selected scenarios for a reason, and I expect that people thoughtfully apply with characters appropriate for the mission. I like open recruiting for 2-4 IRL days so people can notice it's a water-heavy scenario and look up the rules on aquatic combat to decide if they want to play it at all, or decide which character to bring."

Just FYI, I am currently a player in this module and it's going rather quick. Started around Nov 8, once a week for 3.5-4 hours. We're at the third part already. Might take 20 sessions, might take a whole lot less! I'll also shoot you some info on discord for tips based on what I've seen as a player and what I've discussed with the GM.

I've thought of you, Doug, ever since I ordered the book. I have the first spot reserved for you since you expressed interest a while ago.

Wtf have I been?
I am totally down to play, please! Is a Kobold Wrymblood sorcerer seeking answers to a lost family line be allowed?

As noted in the original post, kobold PCs are not allowed. Since you'll be fighting kobolds, I don't want to add an extra layer of difficulty in running it.

Ok, I propose a halfling, either 1. A young and naive new deputy of Sheriff Baleson's (Ranger, Investigator or Swashbuckler), or 2. A smuggler of goods avoiding Kreed (Rogue or Bard). Maybe a relative of Harg's?

I am interested in playing either a sorcerer or a rougue (thief) going the medic path.

With the chaos of WotC's OGL fiasco, I'm going to run some normal PFS scenarios for now. There's word that we may have an influx of D&D 5e players coming over to try out Pathfinder.

So, I'm going to plan on running Kobold King a few months down the road; in the spring or early summer.

We should just all play halfling thieves and go Fellowship of the Rings on this >:D

That's pretty much the style I'm hoping for; the classic fantasy races & classes. Elves, halflings, humans & mages, fighters, rogues. None of that Neo-RPG crap stuff like kitsune, tengu & gunslingers, alchemists, etc...

I just want to keep it classic old-school style.
