Enchanted Realms PFS/SFS August GM Call!

Post by Sir.Gryphon » Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:37 am

[glow=red,4,300]Hail and Well Met Pathfinders![/glow]

August; when kids return to school and the weather changes to cooler nights and warm days. I perfect time to gather around the table with friends and ADVENTURE!

This month we make up for lost gaming opportunities from the holiday last month by having 5 weeks of gaming... I know, please try to contain your enthusiasm. Because we have 5 weeks of gaming however, I am trying something different. This month the goblins of the Licktoad/Bird Cruncher tribe are taking over and all 5 adventures will be run during August.

Due to the growing popularity of the Pathfinder Society on Wednesday nights I am going to ask that a GM who is not scheduled to run (and is not taking part in a special event) please have an evergreen quest with you just in case we have new players drop in. We never want to turn people away and an evergreen scenario is easy enough to run cold if you have ran it before. And if a GM has never run it before it's good practice.

As always, I tried to fit in as many requests and accommodations as possible, so if you'd like to see a change, let me know.

Just as a reminder:
  • Games start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Let's be respectful of our hosts and try to end on time!
  • Please make sure that your real name (or at least whatever you'd like me to call you on the schedule) is listed in your post. If your account is ChunkyLover53 and you don't list your real name, you will be christened...
  • Sign up as soon as possible, you can always cancel if you need to
  • Please do not hot-swap tables!
  • Any sign ups on the day of the game (Wednesday) may not get a slot at the table, but do show up. We will always try to fit you in to a game!
  • GMs: if you need to cancel, let me know ASAP so I can find a replacement!
  • If you want a game scheduled, please ask!

00-17 Perils of the Pirate Pact Tier 1-7 GM: RC
When the Black Marquis lost all of the men he could trust on a failed treasure hunt, he did the only thing he could: turned to the Pathfinder Society for help. Offering an ancient lost text in return for assistance, the Black Marquis of Deadbridge sends you deep into the spider-haunted Echo Wood of the River Kingdoms to track down his missing pirates and recover an ancient treasure for the Society. You'll face brigands, pirates, spiders and more-but will you survive the perils of the Pirate Pact?

Module We B4 Goblins! Tier 1 (Pregens) GM: Jim K
As whelps of the Licktoad tribe just out of their swaddling cages, the goblins Chuffy, Mogmurch, Poog, and Reta must prove themselves by undergoing a series of challenges, from tying a string to a large spider and shouting insults with hot rocks in their mouths to facing off against a goblin bully and his dimwitted minions. As a final test of their mettle, they must make a dangerous (and smelly) trek to claim a toad from the nearby swamp and present it to the terrifying presence that lurks within the Cave of Darkfear, only after which can they truly call themselves goblins!
But as the goblins return to the Licktoad village, they come across a brightly colored, jingling human carrying a map to a small farm up the river where a family of halflings are celebrating a wedding-the perfect setup for a goblin raid! Will the heroes acquit themselves in the finest goblin fashion by wreaking havoc upon the nuptials? Or will they be bitten by ferocious dogs and smashed by frying pans?

Module Skitter Shot Tier 2 (Pregens) GM: Jonathan
All Hands on Deck!
Don't worry, the skittermanders are here to help!
When a routine salvage operation deep in the Vast goes awry, the skittermanders Dakoyo, Gazigaz, Nako, and Quonx must board a luxurious cruise liner controlled by a rogue artificial intelligence to save their vesk boss and a group of hapless passengers. All manner of obstacles block their path to success, from malfunctioning massage tables to cybernetic undead to vermin from another plane, but if the skittermanders can work together (something skittermanders do best), they are sure to be hailed as tiny, furry heroes! That is, of course, if the passing pirate starship doesn't blast them all out of space first...

Beyond the Halflight Path Tier 3-7 (Evergreen) GM: Randy
The sprawling maze of caverns and tunnels beneath the hilltop city of Kaer Maga are home to a host of dangers and mysteries. A dedicated group of guards called the Duskwardens is responsible for protecting Kaer Magans and visitors alike from everything that lurks below. Despite the Duskwardens' best efforts, the influence of one of the vaults has been spreading on to the streets of Kaer Maga. It falls to a group Pathfinder Society agents to navigate the factions of Kaer Maga to access and strike at the heart of the lurking threat.
Beyond the Halflight Path is an evergreen, replayable scenario.

00-20 King Xeros of Old Azlant Tier 7-11 GM: Randy
Panic grips Absalom when a huge crystalline sailing vessel appears suddenly in the harbor. Identified as the King Xeros of Old Azlant, the ship presents a great opportunity for the Pathfinder Society. You and your fellow adventurers are summoned by Venture-Captain Adril Hestram and dropped aboard the King Xeros to explore it and report back. Only, what you find isn't an empty vessel, but a sinister ship with a vile intent.

03-09 Quest for Perfection Pt.1: The Edge of Heaven Tier 1-5 GM: RC
In the distant land of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society's Lantern Lodge sends a team of agents high into the mountains of the Wall of Heaven to an abandoned Iroran monastery in search of a powerful relic to assist them in ensure victory in the upcoming Ruby Phoenix Tournament. Though the monastery has long laid unused by the faithful of the Master of Masters, it is not completely devoid of danger, and the PCs soon discover that merely retrieving the ancient artifact is but the beginning of a much larger quest.

Module We Be Goblins! Tier 1 (Pregens) GM: Jim K
The Licktoad goblins of Brinestump Marsh have stumbled upon a great treasure-fireworks! Yet unfortunately for them, the tribe member responsible for the discovery has already been exiled for the abhorrent crime of writing (which every goblin knows steals words from your head). To remedy this situation, the Licktoads' leader, His Mighty Girthness Chief Rendwattle Gutwad, has declared that the greatest heroes of the tribe must venture forth to retrieve the rest of the fireworks from a derelict ship stranded in the marsh. In order to prove themselves as the Licktoads' bravest goblins, the PCs must complete a series of dangerous dares, from swallowing bull slugs and braving the dreaded Earbiter to dancing with Squealy Nord himself. Yet even once they've proven their mettle, the adventure is just beginning. For the ship in question is far from uninhabited, and Vorka the cannibal goblin would like nothing better than a few tasty visitors....

SFS 01-14 Star Sugar Heartlove!!! Tier 3-6 GM: Micheal
It's finally here; the sugar-pop band sensation, Strawberry Machine Cake, is starting its Pact Worlds tour. Thanks to the Exo-Guardians' leader, Zigvigix, the PCs and Historia-7 have tickets to attend the holo-concert event of the year. As Zigvigix hopes to celebrate and mourn friends lost in the Scoured Stars, Historia-7 enlists the PCs to track down an attendee associated with a conspiracy against the Society. When a stunning revelation endangers the concert, it falls to the PCs to step in and save one of the most hotly anticipated concerts in Pact Worlds history.
Content in Star Sugar Heartlove!!! also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Dataphiles and Exo-Guardians faction."

With an ancient Iroran relic in hand, the Pathfinders must make a long river voyage to the inland nation of Shokuro to return it to the only person who can reactivate the long-dormant artifact. Whether dangers take the form of goblinoid menaces on the shores of Kaoling to the north or the powerful armies of Lingshen to the south, the Pathfinders' journey will be anything but a pleasure cruise. Can the PCs survive hostile waters to safely reach their destination, or will they fall victim to the perils of river travel in Tian Xia?

Module We Be Goblins Too! Tier 3 (Pregens) GM: ?
The Licktoads, once the great and fierce goblin tribe in Brinestump Marsh, were defeated by human adventurers! All that remains of the tribe are its four goblin ""heroes""-Reta Bigbad the fighter, Chuffy Lickwound the rogue, Poog the cleric of Zarongel, and Mogmurch the alchemist. Homeless and bored, they left their swampy homeland to join the neighboring goblin tribe, the Birdcrunchers.
The good news is that the Birdcrunchers are willing to let the goblin heroes join their tribe.
The better news is that the Birdcrunchers have heard of these four, and want one of them to become their new chieftain.
The bad news is that before the goblins can join, they'll need to endure a series of dangerous and humiliating tests. Very dangerous. Very humiliating.
The worse news is that lately Birdcruncher chieftains have had really short lifespans-they're being killed by the pet fire-breathing boar of a local ogre who wants the Birdcruncher land as his own.
Can the four heroes of the now-dead Licktoad tribe save the Birdcrunchers and, in so doing, become their new leaders?"

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Playtest 01 The Rose Street Revenge Adventure Path part 1: Doomsday Dawn (limited reporting timeframe) Tier 1 GMs: Richard and O.J.
In 4718, a rare planetary conjunction, in combination with the power of ancient artifacts erected in the desert kingdom of Osirion thousands of years ago, will create a massive portal between Golarion and the hostile planet of Aucturn, at the far edge of the solar system. If this portal appears, it will allow the ravenous aliens of the Dominion of the Black to harvest brains from the peoples of the Inner Sea region on a devastating scale and provide an opportunity for a nascent entity of great power awakening from eons-long gestation to feast upon the world of Golarion. Fortunately, hints of this imminent apocalypse have emerged from the sands of time over the past decade, affording a desperate chance to avert this doom. These hints and clues have become known as the Aucturn Enigma, and unless multiple groups of heroes rise to the challenge of opposing this catastrophe, it could destroy one world forever while simultaneously creating another.

But it turns out leading a tribe of goblins isn't much fun, and the newest Birdcruncher chieftains are bored. In order to cure their doldrums, the chieftains have issued a new demand-find them some adventure, or else!
Eager to please their great chieftains, the Birdcruncher goblins frantically try to whip up all sorts of amusements, including goblin games, feats of skill, and a grand feast. But trouble arises in the midst of the goblins' feast for their mighty leaders-the goblins who went to harvest truffles for the feast got beat up by some stinky humans!
Now the Birdcruncher chieftains find themselves getting more adventure than they bargained for as they venture to the Bestest Truffle Field to pick up the slack for their bumbling minions. Will the goblin heroes be able to make it to the field, find the treasured fungus, defeat the mean humans, and make it back to the tribe in time to enjoy their well-deserved feast?"

We Got it in the Bag!
The Birdcruncher goblin tribe has risen to remarkable heights under the leadership of its four goblin ""hero-chiefs""-Reta Bigbad the fighter, Chuffy Lickwound the rogue, Poog the cleric of Zarongel, and Mogmurch the alchemist. But these legendary goblins have outgrown their tiny fiefdom, and they want to explore beyond the same, boring corner of Varisia they've known all their lives. Luckily for them, their minions have brought them something new and interesting to help cure their relentless boredom. A mysterious magic bag offers more adventure than even the goblin chieftains originally realized!
After an evening of drunken revelry, the goblins awaken to discover the most precious member of the tribe, the pig Squealy Nord, has gone missing! Both Nord and a trio of precocious goblin warriors vanished during the night, and the only clue to their whereabouts is a trail of footprints leading into the magic bag. The Birdcruncher chieftains must venture inside the mysterious bag, from which few things have returned, if they're to have any hope of seeing their beloved pig again!"

SFS 01-13 On the Trail of History Tier 3-6 GM: Jim H
Now possessing key information about the mysteries of the Scoured Stars, the Starfinder Society sends the PCs to a distant star system in the Vast. The idea that the non-spacefaring natives of this system have any connection with the distant Scoured Stars seems unlikely, but it's up to the PCs to confirm if a connection does exist. Other factions complicate the situation by having their own unique agendas relating to the distant world and its peaceful inhabitants.
Content in On the Trail of History also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. Content in this scenario also contributes to the ongoing year of the Scoured Stars storyline.

The sole survivor of an ill-fated Society expedition into the Mwangi expanse barely managed to return home years ago, bringing little to show but an unpleasant affliction and haunting memories, neither of which they could shake. While the agent had planned to retire from the Society for good, they now seek assistance in finding closure, seeking a cure, and recovering the relics the team had to abandon. What sounds at first like a simple recovery mission becomes far more complicated, for the same threats that spelled disaster for the first mission are as dangerous today.

Please add myself (Shawn) and one more person (Andrew) for the skittershot module on the first.

I didn't see any tier one SFS this month, did i overlook it or will that not be available?

Skittershot is the only low-tier Starfinder event that was requested this month.

I have found that it is difficult to schedule Starfinder events in general due to low interest, but if that changes, I will add more!

I won't be playing on the Wonders in the Weave part two on the 22nd as I'll be on the Superdungeon, so go ahead and open my spot up for another player. And no, you absolutely do not need to rework the schedule to accommodate me. I'm fine with missing out on it in exchange for some Gno Gname Gnome Gclam time ;=)

Ok so I guess, if there is interest on the 22nd I can run either SFS 1-05 or 1-10. If I saw there would be 2 people and I think Hillary will be down. So we will have enough for a table.
